About NIRI
Founded in 1969, NIRI is a professional association of corporate officers and investor relations consultants responsible for communication among corporate management, the investing public and the financial community. Our members represent the majority of the largest publicly held corporations in the U.S. as well as many small and mid-sized companies. With over 4,400 members in 33 chapters around the country, NIRI sets the highest standards in education to advance the practice of investor relations and meet the growing professional development needs of those engaged in the field. Mission
Effectively meet the needs of the Twin Cities Chapter members while elevating visibility of the investor relations profession and the NIRI organization.
Twin Cities Chapter Goals:
- Effectively identify and quantify the Chapter members varying needs.
- Provide Chapter Board members with excellent, appropriate educational opportunities that enable
them to become more effective Board members, learn about new issues, directions and trends
affecting the NIRI chapters nationally and develop professionally.
- Provide opportunities for Chapter members to effectively network.
- Communicate effectively with Chapter members and NIRI National.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with other local professional associations that from time to time have interests in common with Chapter members.
- Build and maintain effective partnerships with local scholastic institutions, such as the University of Minnesota, the University of St. Thomas and Macalester College.
- Build and maintain effective associations with local journalists, press and other local media.
- Provide Chapter Board members with excellent, appropriate educational opportunities that enable them to become a more effective Board members, learn about new issues, directions and trends affecting the NIRI chapters nationally and develop professionally.
